RE: Jewelry CAD Dream: Lesson 1.1 - JCD LITE Interface
Using this video to learn V14.
"Ribbon" stuff and menu stuffs seem the same-ish. Buttonology appears to match all other real 3D software. I suppose that is because this is essentially ZW3D.
The Show and Tell Tutorials seem useful, as an introductory tool.
Block Feature did not seem to be working for me in the Show and Tell Tutorial. Ah, there are supposed to be blocks in there already but they do not exist. This is too bad as the Tutorial seems to build off of the ability to create blocks within the Tutorial. Oh well, I can read what is supposed to happen, and I know the buttons because I use FreeCAD.
I set my Preferences to use grams instead of kilograms.
Nice! The Mass Properties feature will be useful to determine weights ... I think.
28 character limit for project names is kinda weak. It is better than 8 + 3 though.
I thoroughly enjoy that this program is so blatantly mostly the engine. Learning this program seems as though it is like learning most major 3D engines which is great!
The Configuration :: Files "tab" holds the answer to cleaning up "My Documents" directory.
Overall this seems like it will be fairly easy to understand if you have any experience with actual 3D software.
