Bespoke Design Process

Our custom or bespoke design process is very malleable based on the Client, but we tend to follow the following outline.

1. Client to paper interpretation.  This process includes initial sketches, as well as a lot of notes.  If modifications are needed, they are very easy to make.
2. Digital rendering.  This is a digital rendering of the design.  It is treated as a draft.  Here we show the Client as many or as few images and angles as they need to understand the design.  If modifications are needed they are easy to make.
3. 3D printed model.  This is a 3D printed version of the digital design.  If modifications are needed they are easy to make.  This is the final opportunity for modifications.
4. Casting, settings, and finishing.  Here we cast the piece, or pieces, cleanup, do any necessary setting, finishing, and we are done with the piece.
5. Presentation.  Though not a real step, it is our final step, where we transfer the item to the Client.

This seems to work well for us.  If you have a different approach I would very much like to know it, especially if we can take a part of it and improve our own processes.
